I guess you have the answer. I’ll try to read it. Interesting.

By Nia

You answered your own question.

Follow up:
Yasser Arafat began stealing most of the money comming for devellopment from international and especialy European Union and became of of the richest man in the region.

So, by your twisted logic, the place should rightly be called Canaan. Let’s go with that! Only those who can prove Canaanite bloodlines get the land.

Mother of Mercy!! Where do these wahoos come from??

By Don H

You did a great job but no one is going to read all of that.

The Jewish propaganda machine is so powerful that few know that the things that you wrote ever happened.

Love and blessings Don

It’s an Islamic country

You seek to justify the actions of todays terrorists by misrepresenting history. Just as you pretend to have a question to lure people in to your editorial, you pretend terrorism is a just means to an end no civilized human cares about. The ‘Palestinian’ people ceased to exist centuries ago. There is fallow land for miles and miles on Saudi Arabia’s west coast that would be a wonderful homeland for their displaced Arab brothers in Israel, if anyone really wanted peace.

By Earl D

Most of it is a fair apprasal, although you missed a few things here and t

You also didn’t mention that most recently Israel gave back a large portion of land.

You also neglected to mention that there was two border crossings into Israel and a solider was kidnapped.

By wayne

Much of hat your history states is true but you leave out many thing like it was the UN that drew up the partition lines and the British didn’t ‘just leave’.

You talk about the refugees from the 48 war but you fail to mention that the jews asked their brothers to stay and seek a peaceful solution when they were attacked on their day of Independence, and by the way how can the Palesenian people claim heritage from the original Caananites?
Also you failed to talk about the Jews living in Arab lands that were expelled during the 48 war including those living in Saudi. Can we let EVERYONE go back to claim what they had at that time or should only Arabs be allowed this priveledge? There have been atrocities committed on both sides why just bring up one lone crazy Jewish gunman?
Also you failed to say that the Dome of the Rock is also situated on the same site as the previous Jewish temples long before the revelation to Mohamed, and that according to eyewitness accounts of Jesus saying he was crucified.
I can only assume you are Muslim. I have read the Koran. Have you read the Bible or do you take only what you have been told?
Did you know that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was Hitler’s guest during WWII? I do not condone violence in any form it is only through education that we are allowed to erase discrimination and predjudice.

You stated that most people quickly converted to Islam in the 600’s and that Islam was not ‘forced’ upon them. Is it not true that Kafir are relegated to third class citizens under Sharia law and subjected to humiliation and heavy taxation? I could state many more things that you have left out but to end your History of ‘Palestine’, it has been a crossroads for war as far as recorded time and there seems to be no end in sight until we can learn to Love one another and respect our differences while embracing our similarities.
Peace be upon us all

there’s a nicely edited piece of history, probably taken from the saudi government itself.

The things that you “forgot” to mention, though, are the most telling. Take this misleading quote for example:

“Of the more than 800,000 Arabs who lived in Israeli-held territory before 1948, only about 170,000 remained.

The rest became refugees in the surrounding Arab countries, ending the Arab majority in the Jewish state. ”

at first glance, you would think that the jews should be blamed for all of those homeless.

But looking into history, you find that the arabs are the ones who made their own refugees.

You can look into any old israeli newspaper and find all sorts of pieces asking arabs not leave, but to stay in israel and have peace.

You can check out the former prime minister of syria’s own autobiography and read him talking about how it was the arab leaders who told them to leave, in order to make it easier for them to destroy the israelis.

The arabs refugees left because they wanted to, and they left because like every other arab they were arrogant enough to think that 6 arab nations could easily defeat israel, and the arabs could then return to their homes, clear out the dead jewish bodies, and benefit from all of the improvements the jews had made. Unfortunately they lost the war, and israel, knowing exactly what their goal was when they left, and knowing exactly what they had been hoping for in their hearts, refuses to let them back in.

As you pointed out yourself, there are 170 000 palestinians who stayed in israel. Such a large number alone refutes the arab propaganda myth that all the palestinians were forced out of israel when it was created, even if historical documents did not do it already.

These palestinians are the ones who ignored the arabs, and who wanted peace instead of murder, and they are very welcome in israel today. “have sympathy, israel” the world likes to say. “have sympathy for the mass of palestinians whose lifelong goal it is to drive every last one of you into the sea. ” well, israel’s sympathy has run out.

They left their homes because they hated jews so much, fine.

They refused their own state several times because they hated jews so much, fine.

They want to continue to elect governments like hamas whose constitution openly declares its goal of the destruction of the israelis, fine.

Well, they’ve made their bed and they can lie in it.

As golda meir said, there will be no peace in the middle east until the palestinians can learn to love their children more than they hate the jews.
